Still have a risk of a supercell storm popping up in the next 2 hours.
SPC has a TORNADO WATCH out just to our north, but we could see that extended into our area in the next little bit. Stay alert folks!

The aftermath...
if you all were watching at 5-6am, you likely could tell how scary things were in the area. I was on air when the tornado was spotted over James Island. Then we got a report from the NWS that it could be a "strong tornado". I cannot recall any other time in my career I have witnessed such a moment.
We still have crews out there trying to get pictures of the damage, however it is up to the NWS to determine IF an actual tornado did touch down. We will keep you posted.
While I was on air, I ask for your pics of any damage/hail and you folks came through for me once again.
Here are some the hail pics. We did get a report of 2" hail, but no picture of it.

I fell asleep with the TV on last night and was awakened this morning, not by the TV, but by the storm, a couple of minutes after 5am here in Mount Pleasant. There was something different about the way this storm sounded, so I tuned in to Brian's coverage. It was definitely something wild to watch, especially at that time of the morning.
And a note to "MH": I have my own doubts about the warnings, as I posted the other day and Brian was kind enough to publish, but you took it a little too far, in my opinion, especially considering what had been happening with this particular system.
I'll stop with this long comment (sorry, Brian), and I'll end with this message to "MH": You want Brian on that wall. You need him on that wall. (OK, a bit dramatic, but I never pass up an opportunity to quote that movie line.)
Good work this morning, Brian. Thanks for being there.
