We will start to warm up toward the weekend and especially next week. Then things get interesting.
I am growing increasingly concerned that a major storm is heading to our part of the country. In fact, several computer model runs in a row (like the GFS below) are forecasting a 988 mb low passing to our NW.
If this is true, we could be facing a signficant severe weather outbreak including large tornadoes over the Southeast. Not to mention strong gusty winds near tropical storm force with possibly a snowstorm for the upstate in the storms wake.
Still plenty of time to watch this, but I do think this will deserve our full attention in the coming days IF the models keep this in tact.
